Concept Art : Environments drops and Digital Artist shots !

The funny fact is I had began the sketch below, before green peace drops into  french nuclear centrals.
Also the long awaited grainy shots from that old DA I've received last week after months of delay,
and the fabulous mistake taken for "Real of infinity" instead of "Realm". You know sometimes shit happens,
and sometimes it happens on you, no matter what you have done. Life is strange isn't it ?

I made two versions of this one cause I could not decide which colors I liked best, but I wanted to see how deep could I go in the process of something more refined. The most tricky part was to set the right mood according to what I had exactly in mind.

Now the funny one from which green peace has stolen the idea of doing it....ain't that fun ?

And now the long promised shots, so nobody will say I'm lying over what I'm doing...

Concept Art : Time flies away, always and a lost cover.

Almost one week has already passed, so it's time to put up some new things around here.
I made some completions in the others black and white sketches I wanted to make.
And I have had also the time to take on the colored road, two from the precedent post.
It's funny how you can find always new routes to refine your works, funny things, and
funny way to have some texturing done.

I have finally received my issue of Digital artist, I have been waiting for it since May.
I guess I'll post some shots of them, even if they're oldies, soon.

Also the cover project that has made for Digital untill the final selection. Unfortunately not further.

Weekly art Dump, out of comfort zone.

Now ther we go out from my usual SCI FI modern comfort zone,

Some previously colored concepts, more characters, more close up things.

I had also the time to prepare the next roughs to follow,

though two unfinished are missing.

No spaceships, but a car, some buildings and architectural stuff.

Lot of black and lot of white, and this is what I love, get it right before

laying down the colors.

Colors can always change, but the basic painting can't.

Here I went more on focusing around details, and also simplification of

the global shapes things.

What is good is that allows me to add or substract more

during the coloring process.

After a few think about things,

I guess it was time to try some different sort of things, more close-ups views, and some interiors test.

Concept Art : Rust, Ships and blue.

Now they are finished, and I'm tired, as always.

I have to think about the next ones !

Anyway I have played with some textures and had a really great time doing it.
Worked late late and late, I have some strange hours those past couples of day.

Concept Art : Cold as Ice !

The update of the week, as usual !

I have tested some differences in my process to have a more comfortable
workflow. Playing with rocks is really fun, as industrial shapes, wich can be
really interesting to use differently from what they were intended.

Cold as Ice, for the colors I think.

Out of space colored, out of mind.

Dang I have no clues or ideas sometimes how to title those litle messages.
It's because when some pieces are out, my brain is scrapped out.
You know time's passing so fast.

There we go, as I worked to change around things I usually like,

A new venture into some fantasy race,
medieval art crossed with an uncertain future,

and in the end a big spaceship needs some repair.
